Donation amount shouldn't be required when purchasing tickets.

In the form builder, it won't let me save a donation form without a Donation Amount field included.
Ideally, there should be an option where the Event Ticket price is the donation fee. Right now, then the Event Ticket price has to be free in my case, and the Donation Amount is the Ticket price.

This is this most important issue right now. I would consider it a total blocking bug for anyone using this at all, not just a feature that would be nice to have.
@Tracey suggested using "would you like to make an additional donation" with amount set to $0 - but that does not work - it break Stripe and Paypal.
So the only setup that doesn't break the payment processor blocks is to have a default non-zero donation amount, which is just goofy for a ticket sales page.

The other challenge with this Donation about block being required is that it doesn't seem to increment the amount as the quantity of tickets changes. Lower on the form, it shows correctly, but within that part of the form, I can't make it present an accurate number.

Agreed! Makes the option useless at this point. I thought a workaround would be to add a 'would you like to make an additional donation' to include a donation block, but it won't let you set the minimum amount to zero.

This has to be a bug as requiring a donation with the purchase of a ticket makes this beta feature unusable. I currently have a support request in to figure out the same issue.

Hi Amanda! Of course - thank you for discussing it with your team!
I built a website for a client, and we chose GiveWP to receive donations. Turns out, the new Event feature of GiveWP will come in handy for them as well. The Event ticket price is for businesses to cover their table fees at trades events, more often than not.
They are a Workforce Construction Trades Coalition with a mission to educate, inspire and connect people in pursuit of rewarding careers in the trades, driving economic growth while building and sustaining our communities.
We really appreciate this Beta feature and look forward to the updates!
